The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (Bajus) has appointed outgoing president Sayem Sobhan Anvir as its chief adviser.
Enamul Haque Khan Dolon, proprietor of Diamond and Divas, has been elected president for a second term.
The newly elected Board of Directors assumed power at an event held at the Bajus office in Eskaton, Dhaka on Monday.
Afterwards, the first meeting of the new board was held, where all the board members decided to appoint Sayem Sobhan Anvir as the chief adviser.
The board members also appointed all other former presidents to the Advisory Council.
Senior officials, including senior vice president Ranjit Ghosh, vice president Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury Jewel, vice president Azad Ahmed, and vice president Avi Roy, addressed the meeting.
