The T20 World Cup-2026 is scheduled to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka next month.
Bangladesh was set to play its matches in India. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) that it will not be able to send the team to India due to security concerns.
The BCB conveyed the matter to the ICC through an email on Sunday.
In the message, the board said that, citing security risks, it is not possible for Bangladesh to participate in the T20 World Cup matches in India.
The BCB also requested that Bangladesh’s match venues be shifted to another country.
