BNP-nominated candidate Masuduzzaman Masud has announced his withdrawal from the upcoming election in the Narayanganj-5 (Sadar–Bandar) constituency, citing concerns over personal and family security.
Masud made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon while speaking to journalists at the Narayanganj Press Club. He said the decision was taken after facing pressure from his family amid growing fears over safety ahead of the polls.
“I am feeling insecure as the election approaches, and due to pressure from my family, I am withdrawing my candidature from the forthcoming 13th national election,” Masud said.
