The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has launched a nationwide reel-making competition titled “Amar Bhabanay Bangladesh” (Bangladesh in My Vision), aiming to engage citizens in discussions on the country’s future through short-form digital content.
According to the campaign announcement, the competition seeks to collect public opinions and ideas on how Bangladesh should move forward, encouraging people to express their views creatively through video reels. The initiative is part of BNP’s broader effort to involve citizens—particularly young people—in dialogue on national priorities and policy directions.
Participants are required to create short video reels on selected themes, including employment, education, healthcare, agriculture, the economy, the environment, corruption-free governance, women’s empowerment, youth aspirations and visions for a future Bangladesh. The campaign allows submissions in various formats, such as speeches, storytelling, music, dialogue, satire and visual narratives.
To participate, individuals must upload their reels on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or TikTok, using the hashtag #BangladeshFirst. Participants are also instructed to share their content on the official “Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP” Facebook page by submitting the post link through a designated online form.
The organisers said 10 winners will be selected, each of whom will receive an opportunity to engage in a direct discussion with BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
The evaluation process will combine public engagement and expert assessment, with 60% of the score based on public response and 40% determined by a jury panel assessing creativity, presentation and social impact.
The submission window for the competition runs from 16 to 25 December.
BNP leaders said the initiative reflects the party’s emphasis on listening to public voices and integrating citizens’ ideas into national planning. They expressed hope that the campaign would create a constructive platform for people to articulate their expectations and aspirations for Bangladesh’s future.
