
The Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has received accreditation from the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), marking a significant milestone in the university’s drive for academic excellence.
BUBT celebrated the achievement on Tuesday at its International Conference Hall. The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised the event.
Chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council Mesbahuddin Ahmed attended as chief guest. In his address, he described the accreditation as a commendable example of maintaining quality standards in higher education. He congratulated the university authorities, faculty members and students for their collective efforts.

Chairman of the BUBT EEE Department Ahmed Al Mansur expressed gratitude to all concerned for their support. He said the department had aimed from the beginning to ensure quality education and that the recognition reflected the hard work of teachers and students.
Vice-Chancellor ABM Shawkat Ali presided over the programme. He highlighted the university’s continuous efforts to improve academic standards and said the BAC accreditation had increased BUBT’s responsibility to maintain quality. He also expressed the university’s commitment to securing accreditation for other disciplines in future.
In recognition of their role in the accreditation process, Associate Professor Dr Md Shamsul Arefin and Assistant Professor Md Sabbir Hasan Sohag received honorary crests.
Director of IQAC K Ahmed Alam, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences Munshi Mahbubur Rahman, and Prof Shanti Narayan Ghosh of the Finance Department attended the event, along with deans, department heads, faculty members and students.
The programme ended with a cake-cutting ceremony and a cultural performance by students.
