
The admission test results for the undergraduate programs under the Arts, Law, and Social Sciences Unit of Dhaka University (DU) for the 2025–2026 academic year were released on Tuesday.
According to the results, a total of 7,553 candidates passed the examination, yielding an overall pass rate of 7.29%. This year, 107,712 candidates applied for 2,934 available seats, with 103,611 students actually appearing for the exam held on December 13, 2025. The examination papers of five candidates were canceled.
A breakdown of the successful candidates shows that 4,109 students are from the Humanities group, 2,981 from the Science group, and 463 from the Business Studies group.
In terms of individual performance, Md Shahriar Shimul secured the first position in the Humanities group, while Rifat Al Rafi topped the Science group and Md. Abir Ahmed Rohan achieved the first place in the Business Studies group.
How to check results Candidates can access their detailed results on the official website: admission.eis.du.ac.bd. Alternatively, results can be checked via SMS by sending DU ALS to 16321 from Teletalk, Banglalink, or Grameenphone mobile numbers.
Subject preference and quotas Successful candidates are required to fill out the detailed form and submit their subject preferences between 3:00 PM on January 27 and 3:00 PM on February 5.
Those applying under various quotas must collect the necessary forms from the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences between February 1 and February 5. These completed forms must be submitted to the same office within the specified timeframe.
Re-evaluation Candidates wishing to apply for result re-evaluation may do so at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences from January 21 to January 27, 2026, upon payment of the prescribed fee.
