Nagad, the digital financial service of the Bangladesh Postal Department, has achieved a record in its history by posting the highest annual transaction volume in 2025.
The mobile financial service platform recorded total transactions of nearly Tk 380,000 crore in the recently concluded year, a significant increase from Tk 330,000 crore in 2024.
December 2025 marked another remarkable milestone for Nagad, with its customers performing transactions worth Tk 35,530 crore, the highest monthly transaction volume ever recorded by the platform.
This achievement was reached three times throughout 2025, highlighting Nagad’s growing popularity and the trust it has built with its users. In response to this milestone, Nagad authorities expressed their gratitude to the large family of registered users, now numbering several crore.
Md Motasem Billah, administrator of Nagad, congratulated all stakeholders involved in this success, including customers, employees, distributors, and agents. “Nagad has always strived to serve its customers, running various campaigns throughout the year.
Additionally, we offer the market’s lowest cash-out charge. The trust of our customers and the dedication of our employees have allowed Nagad to continue reaching these milestones,” he said.
He further emphasized that as the digital transaction platform of the Bangladesh Postal Department, Nagad is continuously working to provide enhanced security for its customers’ funds through improved services.
This focus on security has attracted new customers while allowing existing ones to perform transactions more conveniently and in higher volumes. The expansion of services and diversification of activities have further boosted Nagad’s transaction capacity.
Since its launch six years ago, Nagad has become one of Bangladesh’s leading mobile financial service providers. Over this period, both its customer base and transaction volumes have increased substantially.
A large portion of the record-breaking transactions in 2025 came from cash-in, cash-out, money transfers, utility bill payments, mobile recharges, and remittances.
Previously, in October 2025, Nagad posted its highest-ever monthly transaction volume, handling transactions worth more than Tk 34,705 crore.
Earlier milestones include March 2025, when transactions surpassed Tk 34,000 crore, and June 2024, when Nagad recorded Tk 32,000 crore in transactions in a single month. These achievements demonstrate Nagad’s pivotal role in elevating Bangladesh’s digital financial landscape.
Since its launch as a service under the Bangladesh Postal Department, Nagad’s customer base has rapidly expanded, thanks to continuous innovation and customer-friendly offerings. Every day, a significant number of new users are joining the platform via its app.
