North Zone lifted the women’s Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) T20 2025–26 title after crushing Central Zone by 10 wickets in the final round on 26 December 2025.
Central Zone were bundled out for just 56 after being asked to bat, as North Zone’s bowlers delivered a ruthless display. Right-arm pacer Farzana Yasmin Medha starred with the ball, returning figures of three for eight from four overs, including two maidens, to be named player of the match. She was well supported by Sharifa Khatun, who claimed two wickets for 16 runs.
Central Zone never recovered from an early collapse. They lost their first wicket with only three runs on the board in the fourth over when opener Dilara Dola was dismissed for a duck by Medha. In the same over, Isma Tanzim was caught off Sharifa’s bowling, leaving the side struggling at 4 for 2. Captain Nigar Sultana Joty tried to steady the innings alongside Sumaiya Akter, but the partnership yielded little. Sumaiya fell for six, and wickets continued to tumble. Joty was the only batter to reach double figures, top-scoring with 11, as Central Zone were dismissed in 19.2 overs.
The chase was a formality for North Zone. Openers Sharmin Sultana and Shamima Sultana completed the target without loss in just 7.5 overs, with 73 balls to spare. Sharmin led the way with 32 from 23 deliveries, striking five fours, while Shamima contributed an unbeaten 27 off 24 balls, including three boundaries.
North Zone finished the tournament with five wins from six matches, reclaiming the title after South Zone had won the inaugural women’s BCL last season.
In the individual honours, Sobhana Mostari ended as the leading run-scorer of the tournament, amassing 259 runs in five matches at an average of 64.75 and a strike rate of 126.34. Sharmin Sultana followed with 157 runs from six matches. Among the bowlers, Sanjida Akter Meghla topped the wicket charts with 11 wickets in six matches, a tally matched by leg-spinner Fahima Khatun.
