Singer-songwriter Pantha Kanai is preparing to release a new song, ‘Abar Tora Manush Ho’, a socially reflective track that addresses the moral unease of the present moment.
Following the attention drawn by his October release Shei Ek Shomoy Chhilo, Kanai returns with a song that urges listeners to reconnect with empathy and conscience. Written by Faruk Anwar, the song is composed by Kamal Ahmed and arranged by Zahid Bashar Pankaj. The accompanying music video has been directed by Samrat Ahmed and will be released shortly on FA Music’s YouTube channel.
Describing the song’s intent, lyricist Faruk Anwar said it responds to a time marked by growing noise, division and inner decay. Rather than assigning blame, he noted, the song encourages self-reflection and a renewed commitment to shared human values.
Active in music for more than two decades, Pantha Kanai continues to work steadily on new material. He revealed that more than 30 unreleased songs are currently ready in various stages of completion, with several already fully recorded and filmed. These tracks will be released gradually in the coming months.
Kanai is also set to appear in the upcoming episode of the long-running magazine programme Ityadi, to be aired on December 26 on Bangladesh Television. In the episode, he will perform a song written by Mohammad Rafiquzzaman alongside folk singer Beauty.
Alongside his performance career, Kanai remains committed to music education. He founded the music school DrumBuzz in 2018 to introduce children to music, a project that paused during the pandemic. He has expressed hopes of reviving the initiative in the near future.
