The much-anticipated entrepreneurial fair “Battle of Traders – Season 5” along with the Winter Fest was officially inaugurated today at the campus of Eastern University. The event has been organised by the Eastern University Business and Social Entrepreneurship Club (BSEC), according to a press release.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Honourable Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, Professor Dr Farid Ahmed Sobhani. The program was graced by Professor Hafiz TA Khan, Professorial Fellow, University of Oxford, UK, as the special guest. Also present at the event were the University Registrar, Deans, Heads of various Departments, faculty members, officers and staff, along with a large number of students.
Students from Eastern University, as well as from other universities and colleges across the country, are participating in this entrepreneurial fair. The fair features a wide variety of creative and innovative stalls showcasing diverse products. It is expected to serve as an effective platform for young entrepreneurs to implement business ideas, display products, and develop entrepreneurial skills.
In his inaugural speech, the Honourable Vice Chancellor emphasised the importance of nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset among young people and stated that such initiatives play a vital role in promoting practical education and leadership development among students.
The three-day event will continue on December 29, 30, and 31, 2025. Alongside the entrepreneurial fair, the Winter Fest includes a variety of traditional winter delicacies and food stalls for visitors, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere across the campus. The overall supervision of the event is being carried out by KM Monirul Islam, Deputy Director, Office of Student Affairs and Placement, Eastern University.
