
The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) team of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) emerged as Champion at the National Hackathon on Preventing Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV), outperforming 14 teams from 14 leading universities across the country.
The winning team Saiful Islam and Fahad Al Noman, under the mentorship of Muhammad Golam Kibria, reads a press release.
The ULAB team demonstrated strong innovation and technical excellence in developing solutions to address challenges related to technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
As the Champion team, they received certificates and prize money in recognition of their achievement.
The hackathon was organised by the Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) and hosted by United International University (UIU) on Saturday.
BNNRC is a national organisation working to promote community media and digital development in Bangladesh and has been implementing the action lines of the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society (UN WSIS) since 2006.
