Midland Bank Family provided financial assistance of Tk10 lakh to Sajida Foundation, a charitable organization for Korail Slum Fire Relief.
The bank provided Tk5 lakh financial assistance from its Islami Banking Fund under its CSR activity, as part of the bank’s commitment towards social wellbeing.
Remaining Tk5 lakh was contributed by Midland Bank family members.
Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, managing director & CEO of the bank, handed over the cheques to Muhymin Chowdhury, director, impact investments and partnerships of Sajida Foundation.
The program was held on Tuesday at the head office of the bank.
In appreciation to the social commitments towards the general people of the society and other various charitable activities, Midland Bank Family decided to provided financial assistance to Sajida Foundation for Korail slum fire relief.
Among others, Farhin Ahmed Twinkle, coordinator, partnership & fundraising of Sajida Foundation; Md Rashed Akter, head of retail distribution & chief bancassurance officer; Didarul Islam, CFO; Md Bajlur Rahman Khan, head of CRM and head of sustainable finance unit of Midland Bank, were also present at the handover ceremony.
