Bangladesh Navy’s International Master Manon Reja Neer claimed the title at the MTB International Masters Chess Tournament, finishing with 6.5 points from 9 games. Titash Club’s FIDE Master Saklain Mostafa Sajid was runner-up on tie-break with six points, while India’s Bibhur Adak secured third place.
The round-robin event featured 10 players: six from Bangladesh, three from India, and one from Nepal. The total prize fund was BDT 100,000, with Neer receiving BDT 40,000 as champion, Sajid BDT 30,000, Adak BDT 20,000, and International Master Mohammad Minhaj Uddin BDT 10,000 for fourth place.
In the final round on Tuesday, Neer drew with Adak. International Master Minhaj Uddin drew with FIDE Master Gurpreet Pal Singh, International Master Abu Sufian Shakil drew with FIDE Master Khandakar Aminul Islam, and Candidate Master Silwal Purushottam Arpon Rai also drew. FIDE Master Saklain Mostafa Sajid defeated Amit Bikram Rai.
