A delegation from the National Defence College (NDC), Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka, visited Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) on Wednesday.
A total of 105 members, including faculty, course members and staff officers from the college participated in the visit, reads a press release.
BARI Director General Md Manjurul Kadir and other directors welcomed the NDC delegation upon its arrival at the institute.
Later, BARI Director (Research) Faruque Ahmed delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the institute’s activities and achievements at the Kazi Badruddoza Auditorium.
Among others present were Director (Support & Services) Md Mosharraf Hossain Molla, Director (Training and Communication) Reshma Sultana, Director (Planning & Evaluation) Habib Mohammad Naser, Director of the Tuber Crops Research Centre Nirmal Kumar Dutta, and senior scientists from different divisions, centres and sections of BARI.
The delegation later visited various laboratories and research fields at BARI and expressed satisfaction after observing the institute’s activities, advancements and achievements.
