BanglaFact, the fact check and media research team of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), has detected an malicious attempt of creating confusion by producing a photo of Joy-Trump using AI and spreading it on social media.
BanglaFact said recently, a photo card with picture of Donald Trump and Sajeeb Wazed Joy under the title ‘Joy invited to the White House, Bangladesh politics is taking a turn for the worse’ is being circulated on social media Facebook.
BanglaFact verified that the claim is not correct. In fact, the photo card was first circulated for entertainment purposes by a sarcasm page named Gajab Vision. Later, it was spread claiming to be a real incident. Moreover, the photo of Joy-Trump was found to be AI-generated after verifying it with an AI tool.
BanglaFact identified hundreds of false information circulating on internet.
