GPH International School in Munshiganj held a reception ceremony on Thursday to honour junior students who achieved World Highest, Asia Highest and Country Highest marks in the International Primary examinations, marking a milestone for the institution and its academic programme.
The ceremony, held at 11:00am on January 8, celebrated the performance of young students whose results brought recognition to the school at global and regional levels. Parents, teachers, members of the School Management Committee and invited guests attended the event.
Chairman GPH Ispat Group, Crown Cement Group and Chartered Life Insurance Ltd Mohammed Jahangir Alam attended as chief guest, while Principal Government Haraganga College Professor Nazmun Nahar joined the programme as special guest.
Principal GPH International School Brigadier General Khandaker Farhad Hossain Retd welcomed the guests and parents and said the results reflected the dedication of students, the sustained efforts of teachers and the guidance of families. He reiterated the school’s focus on academic excellence, discipline, moral values and the overall development of students.
Chairman School Management Committee Alamgir Kabir said education extends beyond examination performance and should shape character and ethical responsibility. He highlighted the school’s emphasis on integrity, discipline, dignity, kindness and honesty as core values guiding its approach to learning.
Addressing the gathering, Mohammed Jahangir Alam congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to aim high while upholding moral values and contributing to national development. He said a balanced education system combining technical skills, religious teachings and social education was essential for building competence, character and social responsibility among students.
Professor Nazmun Nahar praised the school’s disciplined and learner-friendly academic environment, saying such conditions were vital for nurturing creativity and intellectual growth. She also commended the teachers for their professionalism and dedication, noting that their commitment played a central role in the students’ international success.
The programme concluded with the formal inauguration of a newly constructed school building by the chief guest, marking a further step in the institution’s expansion and long-term development.
