Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) arrested an alleged drug dealer with 7,390 Yaba tablets during a raid at Khalishpur in Khulna city on Sunday.
The information was confirmed by the media cell of RAB-6. According to a press release, a special team from RAB-6 conducted the raid around 2:20 am following a tip-off.
The operation took place at E-26 Housing Estate under Khalishpur Police Station. During the raid, RAB members recovered Yaba tablets and arrested the suspect, identified as Khandakar Sirajul Islam Sourav (22).
RAB officials said that a case has been filed against the accused under the Narcotics Control Act with Khalishpur Police Station of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP). The arrested, along with the seized drugs, has been handed over to the police for further legal action.
RAB-6 Company Commander Major Md Nazmul said the elite force’s operations against illegal weapons and narcotics will continue.
