
Daffodil International University paid tribute to the nation’s heroic martyrs on the occasion of Independence and National Day in a solemn and emotional atmosphere.
To honour those who sacrificed their lives for the country, the university placed floral wreaths at the National Martyrs’ Memorial on the morning of 26 March 2026, reads a press release.
The programme was held under the leadership of Vice Chancellor MR Kabir. Following the laying of wreaths, a moment of silence was observed in remembrance of the martyrs, and prayers were offered for the eternal peace of their souls.
Among those present were Director of External Affairs Syed Mizanur Rahman, along with faculty members, officials and students of the university.
Their presence created a solemn and respectful atmosphere at the memorial premises, highlighting the significance of independence.
Speakers noted that Independence Day is not merely a historic occasion, but a symbol of national identity, sacrifice and indomitable courage.

They emphasised the importance of instilling the values and spirit of independence among the younger generation and encouraging them to play an active role in nation-building.
Through this tribute, the university expressed its profound respect for the country’s history and heritage, while reaffirming its commitment to inspiring future generations with the values of patriotism.
