
The Institute of Research and Training (IRT) of Southeast University (SEU) organised “Faculty Research Day 2026” last Thursday at the university’s Multipurpose Hall.
The event recognised the faculty’s research contributions in 2025, highlighting high-quality publications to foster a strong and sustainable research culture, reads a press release.
The chief guest was Wahiduddin Mahmud, former adviser to the Ministry of Planning and Education of the interim government.
Distinguished speakers included Tahmeed Ahmed, executive director of the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease (icddr,b), Bangladesh, and AK Enamul Haque, director general of the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS).
They applauded SEU faculty members for their research productivity and appreciated the university’s commitment to supporting scholarly activities.
The session was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Md Mofazzal Hossain delivered the opening remarks, while concluding remarks were given by the institute’s Director Hasnat M Alamgir.
The event reflects SEU’s pledge to institutional quality improvement, student research mentoring, and continued support for its faculty to achieve international standards.
