The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Wednesday approved two separate proposals for importing 2.7 lakh tonnes of wheat to strengthen the country’s food grain stocks.
The recommendations were made at a meeting of the committee held with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair, following proposals submitted by the Ministry of Food.
