Professor Mohammad Al-Forkan, a distinguished academic in the field of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University (CU).
The announcement was made by Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon at a press conference held on Monday at the Secretariat.
Along with Al-Forkan’s appointment, the Education Minister also revealed the names of new vice chancellors for several other universities, including Dhaka University, Jagannath University, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh Open University, Dhaka Central University, and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), and the chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Professor Mohammad Al-Forkan, who serves as a professor in the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology at CU, is also the senior vice president of the Jatiyatabadi Shikkhok Forum at the university.
