Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a strong start to the season with a stunning knock. The teenager scored 52 from just 17 balls as Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets on Monday.
At only 15, Suryavanshi showed no fear. He hit four fours and five sixes in a quick chase. Rajasthan reached the target of 128 with plenty of time left in Guwahati.
Suryavanshi had already made headlines last season. He debuted at 14 and even scored a century. Now 15, he continued that form in style.
He got lucky early. A catch was dropped on his first ball. But after that, he took control. He reached his fifty in just 15 balls. Two sixes off Noor Ahmad brought loud cheers from the crowd.
His innings ended when Sarfaraz Khan took a diving catch off Anshul Kamboj.
Suryavanshi came into this match in top form. He played a key role in India’s Under 19 World Cup win in Harare. In the final, he smashed 175 off 80 balls against England.

Yashasvi Jaiswal stayed calm at the other end. He scored an unbeaten 38. Captain Riyan Parag added 14. The pair finished the chase in 12.1 overs.
Earlier, Rajasthan chose to bowl first. Their bowlers did the job well. Chennai were all out for 127 in 19.4 overs.
Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each. Archer gave away just 19 runs, while Burger conceded 26.
Sanju Samson had a poor start on his Chennai debut. He was bowled for six by Burger. Archer also removed captain Ruturaj Gaikwad for six.
Chennai struggled with the bat. Jamie Overton scored 43 to lift the total late in the innings.
M S Dhoni is still out with a calf injury. He may miss the first two weeks of the tournament, which runs until May 31.
