The cluster admission test for the ‘B’ unit under the 2025–2026 academic session began on Friday at the Islamic University (IU) centre.
The one-hour examination is being held from 11am to 12pm across six academic buildings of the university.
A total of 9,133 candidates have been allocated seats at the Islamic University centre under the ‘B’ unit, which covers the faculties of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Admission seekers started arriving at the centre nearly two hours before the exam.
To support candidates and their guardians, various active student organisations set up help desks at the university’s main gate. They provided essential items, including pens, water, chocolates, saline and medicines.
The university administration strengthened a four-tier security system to ensure a smooth examination. Law enforcement agencies, including Ansar, RAB and police, have been deployed across the campus. Members of BNCC and Rover Scouts are also working at key points under the supervision of the proctorial body.
University Proctor Shahinuzzaman said, “Candidates are entering the centre normally. The administration has taken all necessary security measures. We hope the exam will be completed in a smooth and orderly environment.”
This year, a total of 2,84,480 students applied for the cluster admission tests. Among them, 1,66,240 applied for the ‘A’ unit, 93,158 for the ‘B’ unit and 25,282 for the ‘C’ unit. Earlier, the ‘C’ unit examination was held at the IU centre on 27 March, recording an attendance rate of 88.53 percent.
