The government has directed students from Class VI to XII and equivalent levels receiving stipends under Integrated Stipend Programme (HSP) to validate their mobile banking accounts using their guardians’ National Identity (NID) cards.
According to an office order issued by Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust (PMEAT) on Wednesday, the validation process must be completed by 20 June. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the suspension of stipend disbursements for the students concerned.
The directive has been dispatched to all upazila and thana secondary education officers nationwide.
The instruction specifies that educational institutions must correct the data of students whose mobile banking accounts – including bKash, Rocket, Nagad, Upay, and mCash –have not yet been verified. To accommodate these corrections, the “Mobile Bank Info Update” option within HSP software will remain open from Wednesday until 20 June.
Under the strict validation rules, the mobile SIM card used for the stipend must be registered with the exact guardian’s NID number entered the programme’s software.

The mobile banking account itself must also be registered under the same NID. Detailed guidelines regarding the validation of mobile banking accounts for stipend-receiving students have been uploaded to the relevant official website.
