The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has proudly secured accreditation under the Washington Accord through the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE).
The accreditation, now officially listed on the IEB-BAETE website, confirms that ULAB’s CSE programme meets internationally recognised standards in curriculum design, academic rigor, and outcome-based education, according to a press release.
This recognition underscores the university’s ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation, and alignment with global best practices in engineering and technology.
Professor Shamsad Mortuza, vice-chancellor of ULAB, hailed the achievement as a collective success of the University’s faculty, leadership, and students.
He noted that the accreditation not only validates the quality of the programme but also strengthens ULAB’s strategic focus on research, academic integrity, and global engagement.
The Washington Accord accreditation enhances the international recognition of ULAB’s CSE graduates, improving their global mobility and professional prospects.
It also positions ULAB among a select group of institutions in Bangladesh whose engineering programmes have received this prestigious global endorsement, reflecting the University’s growing reputation in engineering education.
