Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has achieved significant recognition in international higher education assessment.
According to the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026, published by the United Kingdom-based education organisation, BUBT secured the 10th position among private universities in Bangladesh and the 14th position among all public and private universities in the country.
The rankings, released on Tuesday, evaluated 1,646 universities from 116 countries and territories worldwide, reads a press release.
BUBT was also placed in the global overall ranking band of 1001–1500. The achievement further strengthens the university’s growing position in the global higher education landscape.
BUBT also demonstrated strong performance across multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The university secured 4th position among private universities in both SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 1 (No Poverty).
It also ranked 6th among private universities in SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
These achievements reflect BUBT’s contributions to sustainability through education, research, innovation and social responsibility.
The accomplishment highlights the university’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research advancement, innovation and sustainable development. It also reinforces BUBT’s growing national and international reputation as a forward-looking institution of higher education.
